Supporting our Work

The media coverage of the organization, especially in Stern TV and Bavarian Television, has motivated others to help Noma patients. A Regensburg orthopedist and German marathon champion organized a marathon relay from Regensburg to Rome, followed by a second relay to Santiago de Compostela in Spain. All runners paid for their own expenses so that the money from sponsors could be used to help children with Noma. Another man decided to read the “Silent Night” by Ludwig Thoma to audiences during Christmas time.

Schools, which took over the first fundraising campaigns in 1994, now are getting around 15,000 to 20,000 Euros by selling homemade items during Christmas time or at school festivals.

The Hilfsaktion has no regualar sponsors. It is also financed by such spontaneous actions. Therefore, we are dependent on each euro to ensure the on-site assistance. People in Niger and Guinea-Bissau know that they can get help from us. It would be bad if this help would not be possible any more due to lack of donations. There are many ways for you to support our work through actions. We gladly help with information and suggestions. We can send you posters, flyers, videos, photos, collection boxes and other material.
